As a design technologist, I believe it is important to center the real humans who actually use the technology. I wish to work in a world where we use technology to foster human to human connections vs human to machine “connections”. There are so many different ways to be human, so its important for technology to be accessible, useful, and fun for all types.
We first choose to engage with something new for one reason, but we often choose to continue that engagement for different reasons reasons. My work is dedicated to attracting a wide variety of people, and finding ways to keep that diversity of people engaged with each other and with the experiences we create together, (with a good bit of technological magic sprinkled in).
